New England Modern

Built in 1989 in the quiet Seattle suburb of Normandy Park, this home had thoughtful architectural details but needed a refresh to truly reflect the homeowners' style. Our clients, a well-traveled young family of three, wanted an inviting, flexible space centered around the kitchen for family life.

Inspired by the home's architecture and the early American vernacular of New England, we designed a fresh, timeless space. Drawing from English interiors, we incorporated an eclectic, relaxed feel that blends different styles and eras. The result is a home that's both historic and modern, perfect for years of enjoyment. This home was featured in Real Simple’s Home of the Week in 2022.
